About Us

The International Softball Academy, formed in 2007, hosts international softball tours and academy programmes that expose players to elite softball and elite coaching

Our mission is to facilitate a friendly exchange and understanding among softball players from different countries and regions while exposing players, especially youth players, to elite softball at an international level

Since 2007 we have selected and hosted over 60 New Zealand teams

 We continue to have our hosts invent events and Tournaments for us to play in: Saskatoon Softball Association established with sponsorship from the Super 8 Motel chain the Super 8 Series for a series of games against U19 teams in and around Saskatoon and Prince Albert in Canada, the Manitoba Softball Association established the Kiwi Cup Tournament, which this year was held in Cross Lakes Band hosted by the local Indian Trust. Fleming Softball Club established the George Engle Invitation Tournament for our first visit for our U21 team in 2012. And we have attended 4 of the five Tournaments, with this year switching the a challenge game ISA New Zealand v Fleming Jet.

New South Wales Softball set up, in 2014, the Blue Blaze Tournaments at Blacktown Olympic Stadium International Sports to catered for our Under 15 Boys and Girls program in September/October, with the boys program including the NRL Rugby League FInals.

The Saskatoon Softball Association, this year set up the U13 Girls and Boys International Challenge and arranged sponsorship to support our attendance at the event.

In 2010 we were lucky enough to be invited to the U14 Boys International Youth Series at the Sydney Olympic Stadium in Blacktown, including teams from Japan. And we have won it 4 times.

We were lucky enough to get invited in 2016 to the International U19 BoysTournament in Prague, Czech Republic. Over the three season the teams has played in build up games against the German National Men’s team, the Danmark Open Men’s and U19 teams, and the Israel National U19 team. Amazing experience

We are now attending the New South Wales U18 Academy Tournament in Newcastle, Australia, the tournament includes teams from the United States. Great previledge to be invited to this.

And the event of the year was the Open Womens team to Switzerland and Italy to compete in the Eureapean Softball Association European Cuop, in La Loggia, Italy. The first time a team outside Europe has ever attended. And we won it.
