ISA New ZealanD Classic SoftbalL Tournament

It all started when…

Back in 1996, Freddy Wyatt and Chubb Tangaroa collaborated to organise a major club Tournament outside the major centres, aiming to encourage and develop softball. With their vision and financial support from Lion Breweries, The Tournament has become the biggest open men’s club tournament outside of the Men’s Inter-club. In the first two years, prize money was over $8000, and the winner in years one and two was the Hutt Valley Cardinals. Local club Fastpitch, which originated the Tournament, has won it three times. In the last eight seasons; Poneke Kilbirnie and Porirua City United have dominated the winners. The Central Vikings Softball Association now runs the Tournament with great support from our sponsors, the ISA New Zealand Softball Academy, www.ISA.org.nz Just Softball gear supplier www.JustSoftball.co.nz, CodeBlack NZ’s premium uniform supplier, www.CodeBlack.nz, with great support from Pub Charity, Hawkes Bay Softball and Umpires who make it all happen

2025 will be the 30th Year of this event.

This years ISA New Zealand Classic Tournament will be held on the first weekend in December, Akina Park, Hastings
